The release frame for Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, a new series based on one of the most popular Star Wars characters of all time, appears to have been leaked by a Disney employee. According to a now-deleted tweet from Brandon San Giovanni, an executive with Disney+, the series will debut exclusively on the streaming service sometime in May 2022. The date has also been corroborated by sources with The Hollywood Reporter.

- After publications began to pick up on the apparent leak, the tweet was deleted. San Giovanni’s Twitter account is currently protected.
- It only makes sense given Obi-Wan Kenobi’s potential to fall on May 4th — a date that has become a proper holiday for Star Wars fans.
