Van Daryl, an art showcase located in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, is selling a fully functioning, life-sized version of the Batmobile to wealthy cosplayers or other superhero fans who want to take to the streets and turn heads as the Dark Knight. Designed by 23-year-old artist and architect Nguyen Dac Chung, the world’s first electric Batmobile is accurately stylized after the version seen in Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed Batman films but with an electric engine and lithium-ion battery for a more sustainable ride. This one-of-a-kind Batmobile also features hydraulic doors, cameras that enable a near-360-degree view, and a passenger seat.

  • This isn’t some concept car that’s only good for display. “This is a fully operational, tactical vehicle capable of freeway speeds,” says Nguyen. And it’s electric – the very first electric Batmobile in the world.
  • A mixture of materials such as ABS, composite, steel and carbon fiber make up the Electric Batmobile. Parts of the Batmobile are handcrafted while some are 3D-printed for precision.
