Disney and Lucasfilm have confirmed that their next Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, will debut on Disney+ on May 25. The series will see the return of Ewan McGregor as the titular and iconic Jedi Master, as well as Hayden Christensen, who starred alongside him in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. A teaser poster shared by Disney and Lucasfilm suggests that the series will take predominately on Tatooine just like The Book of Boba Fett, the first season of which concluded yesterday.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Will Debut May 25 on Disney+ (Star Wars)

  • The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat — the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side and became the evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
  • The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
