The Ryzen 7 5800X3D may not be the only new Ryzen 5000 Series CPU that AMD is launching this month. According to MEGAsizeGPU, red team will also be releasing three other chips in March: the Ryzen 5 5500 (6C/6T), Ryzen 5 5600 (6C/12T), and Ryzen 7 5700X (8C/16T). The Ryzen 5 5500 will supposedly cost the same as Intel’s Core i3-12100, while the Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X are said to be cheaper than the Core i5-12400 and Core i5-12600KF, respectively.

It’s unclear who the original source is, but the information here has been echoed by users on the Chiphell forums, as well as Wccftech, which claims to have heard from its own sources that AMD is prepping additional Ryzen CPUs to take on Intel’s Alder Lake options this month.

AMD Readies Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600 & Ryzen 5 5500 CPUs To Tackle Intel’s Mainstream Alder Lake Core i5 Chips (Wccftech)

  • A few days ago, we were told by our sources that AMD was working on Zen 3 SKUs aside from the confirmed Ryzen 7 5800X3D part.
  • With the upcoming parts, AMD is hoping to hold off some users from moving to team blue before they can ship their true response to Intel’s advance in the desktop segment, the Ryzen 7000 CPU family based on Zen 4 architecture.
  • Besides our sources, it looks like Chiphell forums have already leaked these SKUs but I can confirm that they are very real and indeed coming to the DIY/OEM segment soon.
