Is Halo really as bad as critics have been saying? Those of you who have been on the fence about getting a Paramount+ subscription can now find out for yourselves at no cost, as the streamer has decided to upload the first episode in its entirety to YouTube for free viewing.

Titled “Contact,” Halo’s premiere will be available for U.S. viewers to watch until April 7. While this is not an April Fools’ joke, the writing, choreography, and CG in the show sure make it seem that way, with the Master Chief barely acting like his virtual counterpart.

Yesterday saw the arrival of Halo’s second episode, “Unbound.” It introduces a character from the books named Soren-066, a disfigured SPARTAN-II candidate who’s played by actor Bokeem Woodbine. The episode also features a butt shot of Makee, the human Covenant character, for whatever reason.
