The cast for the next Fast & Furious film just got a lot more marvelous. Franchise star Vin Diesel shared a photo of himself with Brie Larson today, revealing that the actress is the latest member of the Fast & Furious family and will have a role in the series’ tenth installment. Larson is best known to Marvel fans for her role in the Captain Marvel and Avengers films, although the actress already built a pretty notable resume before those blockbusters in the form of critically acclaimed features that include Room, the 2016 drama that won her an Oscar for best actress in a leading role. Diesel has seemingly been looking for additional star power to refuel the Fast & Furious franchise following his falling out with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has stated that he has no interest in returning due to their previous/ongoing feud.

“Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself, ‘that’s captain Marvel,'” Diesel wrote. “Clearly there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast 10.”

“You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology,” the actor added. “Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”
