Someone accidentally left a Google Pixel Watch at a restaurant, offering an early peek at what may be the search giant’s next attempt at securing a piece of the smartwatch industry that’s currently dominated by Apple’s Watch Series. Users who aren’t a fan of the fruit company’s square-shaped models should like what Google has come up with, as it features a minimalistic, circular design. The watch also features a crown and seems to support proprietary bands.

Google Pixel Watch: Exclusive leaked images seem to show Google’s first smartwatch (Android Central)

Android Central has reviewed the images of the watch that could be announced during Google I/O next month. It’s possible that the watch itself could be released alongside the Pixel 7.

The source, who we have left anonymous to protect their identity, said the watch, which could be “a testing model for the Internal Pixel team,” was found at a restaurant. The source requested Android Central to not publish their name or the restaurant name, including location, in order to protect their job.

Google’s Wear OS site offers a quick overview of some of the Android smartwatches that are already on the market today. They are headlined by Samsung’s Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic, the latter of which retains all of the standard edition’s key features, such as ECG, workout tracking, and LTE, but in a more traditional design.
