A full-length trailer for Prey has leaked online, giving Predator fans an extended look at the latest installment of the sci-fi action franchise headed exclusively to Hulu this summer. Highlights of the new trailer include the film’s Comanche protagonist, Naru, being chased and cornered by a bear, who’s eventually “saved” by a cloaked Predator that lifts the animal into the air like a toy. The new Predator design can be glimpsed in a few frames of the trailer, seemingly with a bone-like mask that diverts from the versions worn by the creatures in the previous films. Prey will be available to stream on Hulu beginning August 5. The movie was directed by Dan Trachtenberg, whose credits include 10 Cloverfield Lane and one episode of The Boys, Amazon’s show about corrupt superheroes that began its third season yesterday.

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
