Capcom has launched its next-gen updates for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 biohazard, giving fans a handful of excellent reasons to revisit these games on newer hardware. Some of the improvements that Resident Evil fans will find in the new updates include ray tracing, enabling even greater shadows and lighting effects, as well as higher frame rates and support for 3D audio. The next-gen update for all three Resident Evil games are available today on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Capcom shared updated system requirements ahead of the update’s release on Friday, confirming DirectX 12 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics cards as some of the newer minimum requirements. A remake of Resident Evil 4 will be released next year.
