Codemasters and EA Sports have released a new F1 22 VR gameplay video ahead of this weekend’s FORMULA 1 AWS GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2022 event featuring Lance Stroll racing his Aston Martin AMR22 on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve track in Montreal. From cramped cockpits to competing with other racers, players will be able to see firsthand what it’s like to be on the grid. F1 22 arrives on PC and consoles on July 1.

“VR revolutionises F1 22 on PC and takes the race weekend to an entirely new level,” said Lee Mather, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “From the claustrophobia of sitting in the cockpit to the intensity of lights out as 20 cars accelerate towards the first corner. This is as close to Formula 1 racing as you can get without being on the actual grid.”

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
