Hideo Kojima tweeted over the weekend that he had shelved a project for being too similar to The Boys. Showrunner Eric Kripke has now tweeted that he is a huge fan and would love to team up with the game designer. Anthony Starr, who plays Homelander, has seconded that notion. Hideo hasn’t said whether he’ll take up their offer but says that he’s now seen the first eight episodes of season one, noting there are differences between the two, including setting and overall tone.
Please come make a #TheBoys game. We can team up and conquer! Huge fan, btw. #TheBoysTV

I watched the first eight episodes of season one of THE BOYS. The concept was the same, a black “anti-hero” story in which a superhero and a human face off, but the setting, gimmicks, and tone were very different from what I had in mind for my previous project. pic.twitter.com/sekEiL6agE
