It looks like a new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 variant is on the way.

As adequately demonstrated in a video spotted by Rebs Gaming, Microsoft has designed a new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 with a white body and black grips. The controller, which is pretty popular for Xbox gamers who are seeking a greater level of customization and control, is currently only available in black or green, the latter of which is available on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Halo Infinite Limited Edition.

YouTuber Nicholas Lugo actually shared the below unboxing video for the white variant of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 back in July, and what can be seen seems real enough to indicate that the new option could be headed to shelves soon.

Dubbed by Microsoft as “the world’s most advanced controller,” the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 features a range of pro features that include the following, as noted on the premium peripheral’s official website.

  • Adjustable-tension thumbsticks
  • Shorter hair trigger locks
  • Wrap-around rubberized grip
  • Re-engineered components
  • Up to three custom profiles and one default profile
  • Button mapping

Microsoft has priced its Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 at $179.99, while the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Halo Infinite Limited Edition is listed for $199.99.

One of the biggest benefits of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is its four back paddles, which, after being mapped, make it much easier to perform certain button combinations that would be tough to pull off using the standard controller.

Microsoft launched the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 on November 4, 2019.
