It was revealed back in December 2021 that a new Dune MMO survival game was in the works and its announcement trailer has been released. Funcom (Conan Exiles) and NUKKLEAR (Destroy All Humans, Everspace) are co-developing Dune: Awakening where players will attempt to survive Arrakis in an open-world setting.
From building shelters to learning how to use the quintessential stillsuit or simply evading those pesky giant man-eating sandworms, players will have a variety of challenges to contend with. All this and, of course, the need to control the spice flow, explore the planet, and evolve your character while setting plans into motion. The developers have not yet provided a release date for Dune: Awakening but it is now listed on Steam.

Dune: Awakening combines the grittiness and creativity of survival games with the social interactivity of large-scale, persistent multiplayer games to create a unique and ambitious Open World Survival MMO.
