Crisis CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– Reunion Launches for Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch in December 2022

Square Enix has announced that Crisis CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– Reunion will launch for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on December 13, 2022. Originally exclusive to the PlayStation Portable, Crisis CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– Reunion is a remastered version of the prequel to Final Fantasy VII that focuses on Zack Fair, Cloud’s closest friend and the original owner of the iconic Buster Sword. The Steam page does not appear to be up yet.

The launch date for Crisis CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– Reunion was confirmed in today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion, which features a complete HD graphics overhaul, newly arranged soundtrack, and an updated combat system, begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER operative. As his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create. Crisis CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– Reunion launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 (PS5) console, PlayStation 4 (PS4) console, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC via Steam on December 13, 2022.

Other announcements that Square Enix shared as part of today’s Nintendo Direct showcase include OCTOPATH TRAVELER II, the next installment in the critically acclaimed RPG series, and THEATRHYTHM FINAL BAR LINE, a new game in the fan-favorite rhythm series. Both are launching in February 2023.
