Intel XeSS Update Released for Death Stranding Director’s Cut

Death Stranding Director’s Cut has received a new update that adds XeSS (Xe Super Sampling), Intel’s AI-enhanced upscaling technology for enabling more performance with high image fidelity. The feature was originally teased in January when the game was announced, with publisher 505 Games promising how machine learning would allow players to explore the unique environments of the game in “high graphical detail along with elevated performance.”

Intel’s AI-enhanced upscaling technology will deliver ultra-high-definition visuals at performance levels of lower resolution rendering to create a more immersive experience for DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT. We can’t wait for you to try it out for yourselves.

Released in March, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is an improved version of Hideo Kojima’s post-apocalyptic adventure that includes a new mission and extra cutscenes. Players will also find new combat maneuvers and more customization options for Sam and BB, among other tweaks.
