Volition has announced that it will be releasing a major update this month for Saints Row, its reboot of the open-world, action-adventure series that released in August to lukewarm reviews. Described by the studio as a “beast” of an update, a tweet from the official Saints Row Twitter account can confirm that the improvements will comprise over 200 fixes, as well as new features, such as more rewarding progression, new district tiers, and returning support for PS5 DualSense haptic triggers. The PC version of Saints Row is available exclusively on the Epic Games Store, but the original games can also be found Steam, with the Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack currently listed for $158.

A description for the new Saints Row, which came nearly a decade after Saints Row IV:

As the future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli by your side, you’ll form The Saints – and take on Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall as you build your empire across the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city. Ultimately Saints Row is the story of a start-up company, it’s just that the business The Saints are in happens to be crime.

Experience the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever created; the unique sprawling world of Santo Ileso is the backdrop for a wild, larger than life sandbox of thrilling side hustles, criminal ventures and blockbuster missions, as you shoot, drive, and wingsuit your way to the top.
