Dead Island 2 has been delayed for 12 “short” weeks and will now be released on April 28, 2023, according to a new statement that developer Dambuster Studios shared through the zombie action RPG’s official Twitter account today.
Dead Island 2’s previous release date was February 3, 2023, but as Dambuster explained in its statement, more time was required so the developer could launch a game that it could be proud of. The team also thanked fans who have been waiting for Dead Island 2 “for years.”
Dead Island 2 is one of the games that AMD is offering as part of its latest Raise the Game bundle offer, allowing purchasers of select Radeon graphics cards to get up to two free games for a limited game, including The Callisto Protocol.
Dead Island 2 is exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC, although the previous games are available on Steam, including Dead Island Definitive Edition, which released in 2016.
The delay is just 12 short weeks and development is on the final straight now. The new release date for Dead Island 2 will be April 28th 2023.#DeadIsland #SeeYouInHELLA pic.twitter.com/Vf1NARTECo
