GIGABYTE RTX 4070 Ti & Radeon RX 7900 graphics cards have been spotted in Eurasian Economic Commission listings. VideoCardz notes that while there are many SKUs of each card listed in the submissions, usually only about 80% of them ever make it to market. While neither line has been a secret each has had some interesting twists and turns as their release dates near.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 series was announced weeks ago with a competitive price point that has many enthusiasts anxiously awaiting professional reviews. However, AMD recently followed up on release day details stating that custom cards would likely follow sometime later. Meanwhile the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is believed to be the rebranded GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB that was “unlaunched” by NVIDIA following backlash from the PC community over its branding and hardware specs.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX Cards

GIGABYTE seems to have minimized its AORUS offerings for the Radeon RX 7900 series since there is only one seen in the EEC listings. The SKUs for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX do seem to confirm all will have 24 GB of memory while those for the Radeon RX 7900 XT seem to indicate 20 GB. AMD has not yet revealed much more specs for these cards but could do so soon. There is a mix of reference and overclocked offerings in the list but neither includes any liquid-cooled, or WATERFORCE, editions.

  • XTX AORUS ELITE (GV-R79XTXAORUS E-24GD)
  • XTX GAMING OC (GV-R79XTXGAMING OC-24GD)
  • XTX GAMING (GV-R79XTXGAMING-24GD)
  • XTX Reference (GV-R79XTX-24GC-B)
  • XT GAMING OC (GV-R79XTGAMING OC-20GD)
  • XT GAMING (GV-R79XTGAMING-20GD)
  • XT Reference (GV-R79XT-20GC-B)

GIGABYTE RTX 4070 Ti Cards

Recent rumors and leaked photos have indicated that the RTX 4070 Ti will launch on January 5, 2023 and that NVIDIA could do an official unveil two days before its launch. According to the GIGABYTE SKU names, it seems apparent, as previously rumored, that these are 12 GB cards. It looks like, at the moment, GIGABYTE is not offering a WATERFORCE liquid-cooled version of this card either but that doesn’t mean it might not launch one later. Otherwise, GIGABYTE has a diverse stack for the RTX 4070 Ti.

  • AORUS MASTER (GV-N407TAORUS M-12GD)
  • AORUS ELITE (GV-N407TAORUS E-12GD)
  • GAMING OC (GV-N407TGAMING OC-12GD)
  • GAMING (GV-N407TGAMING 12GD)
  • AERO OC (GV-N407TAERO OC-12GD)
  • AERO (GV-N407TAERO-12GD)
  • EAGLE OC (GV-N407TEAGLE OC-12GD)
  • EAGLE (GV-N407TEAGLE-12GD)

Pricing for the RTX 4070 Ti will be crucial to its success as it is all but guaranteed to be competing with the AMD Radeon RX 7900 series cards to which AMD has said its reference XT models will have an MSRP of $899. This is the same price for the aforementioned “unlaunched” RTX 4080 12 GB. However, there have been reports of the $1,199 GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB model still sitting on store shelves which could affect the final pricing for the RTX 4070 Ti, despite reports that NVIDIA only shipped about a third as many as the RTX 4090 which has an MSRP of $1,599. AMD has said the Radeon RX 7900 XTX will have an MSRP of $999 and even teased it competing with the GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB which may have led many consumers to hold off on purchasing one and, in turn, could affect how customers react if the RTX 4070 Ti is not competitively priced.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
