NVIDIA Releases GeForce Game Ready 527.56 WHQL Driver for Portal with RTX and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Upgrade

NVIDIA has released its GeForce Game Ready 527.56 WHQL driver, providing the best day-0 gaming experience for the latest new games featuring NVIDIA DLSS 3 technology, including Portal with RTX, which launches today, and updates for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Jurassic World Evolution 2.

The the new GeForce Game Ready 527.56 WHQL driver can be downloaded through GeForce Experience, while a full list of fixes in this driver for previously reported issues can be found here.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen update, which is due on December 14, will feature the following:

  • RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) adds more immersive and realistic outdoor ray-traced lighting
  • Ray-traced ambient occlusion improves shading around objects occluding light
  • Ray-traced shadows improve the fidelity, clarity and visibility of shadows
  • Ray-traced reflections increase the accuracy and quality of reflections on bodies of water and other suitably reflective surfaces

  • Toggling HDR on and off in-game causes game stability issues when non-native
