Sony Pictures Entertainment has shared the first official trailer for 65, a new sci-fi action film that stars Adam Driver (Star Wars) as an astronaut who crash lands on what is initially believed to be an unknown, alien planet, only to discover that it’s actually a prehistoric earth that’s home to various dinosaurs, including what appears to be raptors and a T-Rex.

“After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago,” reads a synopsis for the film. “Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.”

65 is written, directed, and produced by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, whose previous writing credits include A Quiet Place and its sequel, A Quiet Place Part II, which released in 2020 with Emily Blunt in the lead role.

The film is also produced by Deborah Liebling, Zainab Azizi, and Sam Raimi, who returned to the superhero genre in 2022 by directing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for Marvel Studios.

Driver is best known for starring as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which concluded in 2019 with Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

The 39-year-old actor will also star as Ferrari’s founder, Enzo Ferrari, in a new biographical film written and directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) that is set for release next year.

65 is coming exclusively to movie theaters on March 10, 2023.
