GIGABYTE is preparing a new GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card called the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti AERO, and not only that, owners can expect to find a new power adapter in the box, according to a new report from VideoCardz, which shared leaked images of the upcoming GPU today and included a photo that shows off a 2x 8-pin to 16-pin (12VHPWR) adapter.

According to the publication, this is the third adapter from NVIDIA that has surfaced for the GeForce RTX 40 Series thus far, with the other iterations being a 3x 8-pin to 16-pin power adapter for the GeForce RTX 4080 and an even more complex one for the flagship GeForce RTX 4090.

“This RTX 4070 Ti has one 16-pin power connector which is fed through a dual 8-pin adapter manufactured by NVIDIA,” the publication wrote. “This is, in fact, a third variant of said adapter, with RTX 4080 featuring a 3×8-pin to 16-pin power adapter and RTX 4090 being the most power hungry of them all and requiring four standard 8-pin cables for the 600W ’12VHWPR’ adapter.”

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Ti AERO also appears to feature a 2.5-slot design, complemented by a triple-fan cooling system.

Previous leaks have suggested that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will leverage a full AD104 GPU and feature 7,680 CUDA cores, 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, and a TDP of 285 watts, making it mildly less power hungry than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, which is listed on NVIDIA’s website with a graphics card power of 290 watts.

Other GeForce RTX 40 Series cards that GIGABYTE has to offer include the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB AERO OC, a white model that features a core clock of 2,535 MHz (vs. 2,505 MHz reference).
