Speaking to Parkiet, a local (Polish) publication, CD PROJEKT RED’s Marek Bugdoł revealed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the “biggest addition in the studio’s history in terms of budget.” This would imply that Phantom Liberty is the developer’s most expensive DLC ever, exceeding the costs of previous expansions that include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine add-ons. It’s unclear whether Bugdoł’s comment also applies to the scope and length of Phantom Liberty, however.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty was announced by CD PROJEKT RED on September 6, 2022. The developer hasn’t shared an exact release date for the expansion yet but has promised that it will be available in 2023 for PC, as well as the modern-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
