Announced in September 2022, the EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED EATX motherboard has launched for $699.99 with many premium features. This flagship motherboard, not to undermine the as-of-yet unreleased Z790 DARK K|NGP|N, includes many of the newest features a PC enthusiast with an Intel Core processor may be looking for. Up to 128 GB DDR5 7800+ (OC) memory, Dual USB4 Type-C ports, PCIe Gen5, 19-phase VRM, a 12-layer PCB, and dual LAN are just some of its many features.

“The EVGA Z790 remains the best choice for the motherboard that does everything with a 19-phase VRM and 12-layer PCB to provide exceptional power, performance, and stability. The CLASSIFIED supports PCIe Gen 5 and PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSDs on the latest 13th Gen Intel Core Series processors, up to 128GB DDR5 and up to 7800MHz+(OC)DDR5*. The CLASSIFIED now features a rotated socket to reduce memory latency and improve cable management options. Meanwhile, the board also contains 10GbE and 2.5GbE network ports, Wi-Fi 6E/BT 5.2, and two USB4 Type-C ports (supports DP 1.4 + HDR). The Z790 CLASSIFIED is the perfect motherboard to help you set records in whatever you do.”

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
