Apple has shared the first official trailer for Tetris, a new movie that tells the true story of how Henk Rogers, a Dutch game designer and entrepreneur, managed to secure the intellectual property rights to one of the most popular puzzle video games of all time. Leading the film’s cast is Welsh actor Taron Egerton (Kingsman), who can be seen in the trailer tracing Rogers’ exploits in the Soviet Union to win the coveted trademark, facing off against a number of surprising obstacles, including the now-dissolved KGB. Tetris will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on March 31.

From the Apple TV channel:

Taron Egerton stars in a new Apple Original Film inspired by the true story of how one man risked his life to outsmart the KGB and turn Tetris into a worldwide sensation. Tetris is directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink. The film’s Executive Producer is Iain MacKenzie. Producers include Matthew Vaughn, Gillian Berrie, Claudia Vaughn, Len Blavatnik, and Gregor Cameron.
