Philips Launches Evnia 42M2N8900 (OLED) and 34M2C8600 (Curved QD-OLED) Monitors

Philips has announced the release of the Evnia 42M2N8900 and 34M2C8600, two new premium monitors developed under its “most welcoming” gaming brand that feature a 42-inch OLED panel and 34-inch curved QD-OLED panel, respectively. According to a set of press releases from Philips, the Evnia 42M2N8900 (138 Hz) is available in stores now for £1,499.00/€1.699,00, while the Evnia 34M2C8600 (175 Hz) will surface later this month at a price of €1.299,00. Evnia aims to be the most welcoming gaming brand by offering a sleek monitor design and a fresh perspective that allows everyone to own their gaming experience, reads a manifesto for the new brand that Philips launched in October 2022.

This new 42″ (105.5 cm) Evnia gaming monitor will make reality feel like a game. Innovation has arrived in the gaming world and along with it, the Philips brand Evnia, whose purpose is to create a playful, innovative, and welcoming environment in the gaming industry. While bringing innovative products to the gaming sector upon the release of Philips Evnia 42M2N8900, Philips Evnia will also initiate positive change in the gaming community through their message.

And positive change is not all that Evnia is bringing to the table. The new monitor is part of the Evnia 8000 series; the top-level category from Evnia, and with that series come unmatched features for a complete gaming experience. These features include but are not limited to: True 10-bit display for smoother colour gradients, OLED display for an impressive, rich contrast, 138 Hz refresh rate to display fast-paced action smoothly, 0.1 ms GtG response time for quick responsiveness, DTS for enhanced sound, and UltraClear 4K UHD (3840×2160) resolution for precise imaging. In addition, the new monitor boasts a thin bezel on 4-sides, 42″ display size, a built-in KVM switch for managing two PCs easily, a USB-C port, and a height-adjustable ergonomic stand for an all-around user experience.

The Ambiglow backlight, which is the hallmark of each recent Evnia 8000 series monitor and is exclusive to the Philips brand, is also present in the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900. The three main features that make the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 stand out are the 138 Hz refresh rate, low input lag, and its OLED panel. These features allow for a smooth gaming experience and vibrant imagery.

Diversifying the gaming world with its presence and technical features, Philips’ newest brand, Evnia, released its latest monitor on 20 February 2023. This monitor, named Philips Evnia 34M2C8600, focuses on giving its customers an immersive experience thanks to its curved display and crystal-clear imagery.

Philips Evnia was launched in October 2022 with the intention of reinventing the rules in the gaming industry. The brand’s motto, Reinvent the Rules, is a representative message about spreading inclusiveness in the gaming industry and Philips Evnia bases its manifesto on creating an environment for everyone through its products. With their newest product, Philips Evnia 34M2C8600, they aim to do just that.

Along with Ambiglow, the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 features Display HDR True Black 400 for shadowing, UltraWide QHD 3440 x 1440 pixels for crystal clear imagery, and 0.1 ms for smooth gameplay. In addition, the new curved monitor is equipped with a USB-C port, a KVM switch, and a HAS stand for an experience spoiled for choice.

However, the most notable feature of the new monitor is the QD OLED. This feature enables top-notch coloring and vibrant visuals through a merge of two technologies: OLED panels and quantum dot (QD) technology. By combining these two technologies into one feature, the new Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 monitor displays an unmatched and immersive gaming experience.
