Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy teased a Lando Calrissian series back in December 2020, and while Disney has seemingly gone radio silent on it, it’s apparently still happening. Speaking to GQ in an interview where he breaks down his most iconic characters, Donald Glover, who played a young version of Calrissian in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, mentioned that he was still talking about a series based on the gambler and playboy with Lucasfilm. Glover wouldn’t confirm whether it has entered active development, but he did express his excitement at playing the character again, saying it’d be a “fun time.”

From a GQ transcript:

Lando is definitely somebody I’d like to hang out with. I mean we’re talking about it. That’s as much as I can say, you know, without [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy hunting me down.

I would love to play Lando again. It’s a fun time to be him. It just needs to be the right way to do it.

I’m not interested in doing anything that’s just gonna be a waste of my time or just a paycheck. I’d much rather spend time with people that l enjoy. So it just has to be the right thing, which I think it could be.
