The Epic Games Store has launched Epic Rewards, a new rewards program that grants 5% back on every eligible purchase made through the Epic Games Store. Such purchases would include games, apps, add-ons, and virtual currency, and while even V-Bucks, the in-game currency used in Fortnite, are eligible, Epic Rewards aren’t granted until 14 days after an eligible purchase, and they also expire 25 months from the date on which they were granted, per a FAQ that Epic Games has published. In other Epic Games Store news, Death Stranding is available to claim for free again until May 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. ET, while the director’s cut of the game has been discounted to $23.99 as part of the Epic Games Store MEGA Sale.

From an Epic Games Store news post:

Getting started is easy! The new Epic Rewards program is always on, free to join, and requires no sign-up. All Epic Games account holders will be enrolled in the Epic Rewards program at purchase point, so all you have to do is buy any games, apps, add-ons, or virtual currency on the Epic Games Store – even V-Bucks. You’ll automatically earn 5% back in Epic Rewards, which will be added to your Rewards Balance two weeks (14 days) after completing the associated purchase.

Once you receive your Epic Rewards, you can apply them at checkout to get a discount off future eligible purchases, or save them for later. Epic Rewards can also be combined with other discounts and coupons for even better deals. Just keep in mind that Epic Rewards do expire eventually (25 months from the date they were granted to your Rewards Balance, to be exact). Go forth and apply your rewards to find your next favorite game!

You can also earn Rewards on eligible subscriptions! To earn rewards on an active subscription, please be sure to accept the latest version of the Epic Games Store End User License Agreement. If you haven’t already, you can do so by heading to your Account Settings > Subscriptions.

To use the Epic Rewards program, you must be authorized to make purchases in the Epic Games Store. For more information about Epic’s parental controls, see details here.
