Whoopi Goldberg is a gamer? And her favorite game series is Diablo? Apparently, it’s a yes to both questions, as the 67-year-old actress took to Instagram yesterday to tell her 1.3 million followers about how upset she is at Blizzard Entertainment for not releasing its new game on Apple computers, her “favorite gaming system.” Goldberg says that Diablo IV’s absence on the Mac is irritating the hell out of her, and while it’s unclear when that’ll ever be released, her rant, at the very least, got the attention of series SVP and GM Rod Fergusson, who reacted to the news on Twitter with much surprise. “I did not have ‘Whoopi Goldberg yelling at me on Instagram’ on my #DiabloIV launch bingo card,” a tweet reads. Diablo III, the previous mainline installment, was released for Windows and OS X on May 15, 2012.

Hey, y’all. I know there’s a lot of terrible things happening in the world. Well, in the world, but what I’m about to tell you is not on any scale like that. This is me kvetching about my favorite game, Diablo, which has been taken off of Apple.
I use Apple computers. That’s what I always used to play Diablo. It’s my favorite gaming system. I like doing it on my computer, and suddenly now, Diablo IV is not available to me on my Apple computer and I already bought Diablo IV. So this is what I’m asking you, Blizzard. Blizzard Entertainment, this is Whoopi. You know how much I love Diablo. I would like y’all to let those of us who use our Apples to play, allow us to to play on the Apple. Take Diablo IV and let us do it and have a great time. […]
I was all excited for it. I went to play on it and I’m telling you, this really pissed me off and I love my game so let me keep my four. Okay. Tell me next time. Say we’re done on Apple, but let me have the four. Let me play on the four. Because you made me so excited for it. That’s all I’m asking. And for those of you who don’t get it, don’t listen to me. If you don’t play, Diablo IV, doesn’t make any sense. Don’t spend the time telling me how stupid it is that I’m talking about. This is what’s pissing me off.
