An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 user has taken to the r/pcmasterrace subreddit to complain about how his CableMod 90-degree adapter has melted his graphic card’s power connector, and not only that, the adapter is now a permanent addition to their $1,599+ investment. “It was fully plugged in and it still is,” explained Darewelll, who supported his claim with a video on YouTube that shows him trying to wiggle the adapter off, but with no success. JayzTwoCents shared a video last month that suggests it’s hard to tell whether these adapters are fully plugged in or not.
