Conclusion
In this review, we strapped the Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH to our test bench to see how it performed against other air coolers that we’ve tested. With its big black block look and lack of RGB bling, it keeps your CPU cool while being stealthy. So, let’s recap the performance below and see how the Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH stood up!
Summary of Temperatures
Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH With AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
The Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH turned in temperature performance numbers that are far superior to any air cooler that we’ve seen to date. At stock clocks and max fan speed, it ran at 52 degrees Celsius. While dropping the fan speed back, it only boosted as high as 61.5 degrees Celsius. When overclocking, we continued to see great performance across the board at multiple fan speeds.
Summary of Sound Levels
Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH Sound Levels with AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
At its slowest fan speed settings, the Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH easily blended in with the ambient room sound levels and we could not hear a thing. Approaching 1000 RPM, the fans stayed out of earshot of us which is similar to the units we compared it with. Approaching maximum fan speed, the Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH got a bit louder than the Dark Rock Pro 4 and the MASTERAIR MA624 STEALTH.
Final Points
The Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA824 STEALTH is a very beefy cooler that quietly delivers some of the best air-cooling capabilities that we’ve reviewed. Cooler Master kept our expectations high when talking about it with us at Computex this year, showing it off with a special thermal coating (see picture at the top of this page) as well as interior views of the heat pipe technology that they used.
Fortunately, Cooler Master delivered on the expectations that it set and gave us a great performing cooler that should handle the heat of the current era processors. It is expected to be available in the near future right around the $100 mark in e-tail and is an easy choice to make if you’re looking for a dark and stealthy aesthetic for your rig.
