Ryan Reynolds has shared a new Instagram Story that can confirm Hugh Jackman, who is returning to play Wolverine in Deadpool 3, will finally be wearing the yellow costume that the character was originally introduced with back in 1974 in The Incredible Hulk #181, as well as countless other popular adaptations that include X-Men: The Animated Series. Reynolds and Jackman will be joined by Jennifer Garner, who is returning to play Elektra in the new film scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, according to a Deadline report.
Jackman joins the Deadpool franchise after portraying the adamantium-clawed mutant in nine films from 2000 to 2017, spanning from X-Men to Logan. The first look emerges on the heels of news that Jennifer Garner will likewise make a Marvel return as Elektra, after playing the character in 2003’s Daredevil.
