Netflix has removed its $9.99 Basic plan for US and UK customers, leaving only the Standard With Ads, Standard, and Premium plans as the only subscription options for those regions, Cord Busters has discovered. As noted by the website, this isn’t the best news for Netflix users who are simply seeking an ad-free experience, as the next tier that offers this privilege, Standard, costs $5.50 more. Netflix’s Basic plan had some major limitations, however, such as streaming quality being limited to “HD resolution” (720p).
