NetherRealm Studios has shared its official “Banished” trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, confirming that Ashrah, Havik, and Reptile will be playable in its new fighter coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19, 2023. Ashrah is a demon from the Netherrealm who was first introduced to players in 2004’s Mortal Kombat: Deception, while Reptile, one of the series’ fan-favorite ninjas, is back in human form after his short hiatus from the series, able to turn into a literal lizard to eat his opponent during what is presumably just one of his gruesome fatalities. Havik, the Chaosrealmer, is also another character that NetherRealm decided to bring back from MK: Deception.
