Phison is currently demoing a new PCIe Gen 5 SSD called the PS5026-E26 “Max14um” at Flash Memory Summit 2023 that delivers speeds of over 14 GB/s. According to a slide that was picked up by Tom’s Hardware, this next-generation drive can hit 14.2 GB/s on Intel’s Z790 platform, with even greater performance on AMD’s X670E, which is listed as 14.7 GB/s. Phison’s Max14um SSD features up to 8 TB of storage capacity and is being cooled with Frore System’s AirJet Pro solid-state cooling technology.

[…] Phison wants to remind people that its platform can pack quite a punch, which is why it built an SSD based on its PC5026-E26 controller and Micron’s B58R 3D TLC NAND memory chips that can hit a 14,175 MB/s sequential read speed and a 12,471 MB/s sequential write speed as well as 1.79 million random read IOPS and 1.74 million random write IOPS.
