Thought Tom Holland or Mark Wahlberg were a terrible fit for Nathan Drake and his partner-in-crime, Victor “Sully” Sullivan? That’s too bad, as Charles Roven, the producer behind 2022’s live-action Uncharted film, has suggested that Columbia Pictures, PlayStation Productions, and the other studios involved are eager to make another one, which will presumably see the return of both actors in a new sequel based on one of Naughty Dog’s best-known franchises. Roven, who recently produced Oppenheimer for Christopher Nolan, shared the news with The Hollywood Reporter this week as part of a feature that delves into some his previous projects, including Batman Begins.

The Hollywood Reporter: Is there still a desire to continue Uncharted after an impressive box office run, especially for the time in which it was released?

Roven: Oh yeah! We had a really good time with that movie. The fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we are definitely looking to make another one of those.
