Bethesda Game Studios is planning to release remastered versions of two of its classic games, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3. This is a according to a Microsoft presentation that was released as part of the FTC v. Microsoft case, which not only references both of these unannounced titles, but also a few others, including DOOM Year Zero (with two DLCs), Ghostwire: Tokyo 2, and Dishonored 3, a third installment of Arkane’s stealth action-adventure series. The Indiana Jones title that MachineGames is working on is also listed, revealing that the project was originally set for release fiscal year 2022.

Unannounced ZeniMax Games

  • Oblivion remaster (originally set for fiscal year 2022)
  • DOOM Year Zero and DLCs (fiscal year 2023, 2024)
  • Fallout 3 remaster (fiscal year 2024)
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo sequel (fiscal year 2024)
  • Dishonored 3 (fiscal year 2024)
  • Indiana Jones game (originally scheduled for fiscal year 2022)
  • Project Kestrel (fiscal year 2023) and expansion (fiscal year 2024)
  • Project Platinum
  • A “licensed IP game”

…these were estimates from more than three years ago and before Microsoft completed its acquisition of ZeniMax in March 2021, so there’s always the chance that some of these plans have changed dramatically or been scrapped entirely. But they may provide an early look at some of the games we can look forward to from Microsoft down the road.
