How much are people willing to pay for an ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card signed by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang? An obscene amount, it seems, as the highest bid for the limited-edition GPU is currently listed as being $16,000 on ASUS’ charity auction site—a price that exceeds the MSRP ($3,199.99) of the graphics card by over $12,000. This special version of the GPU, which is advertised as being the world’s first-ever production graphics card to feature liquid metal on the GPU die, with premium ROG 360 mm liquid cooling and an out-of-the-box 2,700 MHz boost clock, also appears to come with a special NFT that includes Huang’s signature.

ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 Features

  • Out-of-the-box 2700 MHz boost clock is the highest of any RTX 4090 available today, with eight overclocking records since its unveiling in June 2023
  • Featuring liquid metal compound on the GPU die to achieve lowest temperature and lowest noise
  • Larger cold plate than previous models, plus a powerful pump, 360 mm radiator, and magnetic daisy-chainable fans for optimized heat dissipation
  • Custom GPU Tweak III software includes Thermal Map, Power Detector+ and Mileage features exclusive to the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090

The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 is the first production GPU to feature liquid metal as the thermal interface material to harness its incredible conductivity for out-of-this-world cooling. The all-in-one cooling loop features a custom-engineered cold plate, embedded pump fan and optimized coolant flow rate. This setup sends heat through 700 mm of tubing and a 360 mm radiator. Magnetic daisy-chainable fans enable easy building process and show off the user’s own RGB lighting while minimizing cable clutter for an extremely clean look. In addition, premium power delivery keeps the GPU fed at all times with stable, reliable power.

Users are likely familiar with the performance of the powerhouse NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 already, backed by third-generation RT cores, fourth-generation Tensor cores, and DLSS 3 frame generation tech to make games look smoother and more realistic than ever. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 pushes this tech to new heights, with an incredible boost clock of 2700 MHz — the highest of any RTX 4090 available today.
