275W TDP Testing

For our 275W TDP clock testing, we have configured our CPU to run at a fixed all-core speed of 5.1GHz on the performance cores and 4.2GHz on the efficiency cores. This yields a fairly steady 275w CPU package power draw when running Cinebench. Stock settings were set for voltage (and all other defaults), and configured memory to XMP mode.

Max Fans – 100% Pump Speed

275W Load Testing Graph

With all fans set to speed eleven out of ten, the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 tied with the PL360 FLUX at 94 degrees Celsius. The Cooler Master 360 ATMOS outperformed them at 88 degrees Celsius.

Note that at this speed, the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 is running its fans at 1800 RPM, the PL360 FLUX at around 2300 RPM, and the Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID 360 ATMOS at around 2500 RPM.

Leveling out the fans at 1500 RPM also leveled the playing field a bit with the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 providing a temperature of 96 degrees, besting the PL360 FLUX by a pair of Celsiuses. In first place was the Cooler Master 360 ATMOS at 91 degrees Celsius.

Now that we have seen how all of our units cool, let’s see if we can still hear!

SUMMARY

The MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 is an interesting value play from MSI in the low $100 price range but delivers performance of AIO coolers from a higher tier of AIOs. Specifically, the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 lost rather handily at being the best performer at its maximum cooling capacity, however, at low and silent fan speeds, the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 excelled at its task of keeping our test bench CPU cool.
