NVIDIA is planning to release a new version of the GeForce RTX 3050 in February 2024, according to new rumors originating from China’s Board Channels. This version of the Ampere card is said to feature 6 GB of memory, 2 GB less than the current model, but with a lower MSRP of $179. The GeForce RTX 3050 originally launched in January 2022 for $249.

Previous speculations hinted that the card could debut with a GA107-325 GPU featuring 2048 CUDA cores, a count 512 cores fewer than the current 8GB SKU. Additionally, the use of 6GB of memory implies that the card may be constrained by a 96-bit memory bus.
