We have recently identified higher than normal RMA rates among our REVOLUTION D.F. 2 & REVOLUTION D.F. X series of power supplies. Following a thorough investigation, it appears that this issue may be related to a faulty fan bearing. The noise is caused by oil leakage from the fan bearing, which can occur over time with use.

While not all units are affected by this issue, as a precaution and as part of our commitment to product quality, we are initiating a voluntary product replacement program for owners of REVOLUTION D.F. 2 & REVOLUTION D.F. X series PSUs purchased in 2023. Replacement units will be equipped with industrial-grade dual ball bearings known for their durability and longevity.

ENERMAX will provide the pre-paid return shipping label for the PSU to be exchanged and cover the shipping costs for the replacement PSU. An advanced RMA process is also available for those who need a quicker replacement to minimize downtime. *Importantly, the original warranty will remain unaffected.

Impacted customers can begin the replacement process by contacting our local ENERMAX office through the provided links below.

How to know if the product I bought is a revised version?

The revised power supplies are now marked with a red “OC Passed” sticker on the product itself and an “Equipped with Industrial Grade Dual-Ball Bearing Fan” sticker on the color box.

“…the oil leak we mentioned will actually still stay in the fan itself with the anti-leak oil tank design and will not go inside the power supply,” and will “definitely not cause any fire or public safety [concerns] for our customers,” reads an additional statement that ENERMAX shared.
