Bethesda Game Studios has announced that Starfield is about to get its “biggest update yet” as part of a new Steam Beta that will be headed to the platform on Wednesday, January 17. The full update notes won’t be posted until then, but according to a series of tweets and comparison images that Bethesda shared last week, players can expect some welcome improvements, including improved visuals and greater support for widescreen resolutions.

- Fixes for planet ring shadows, bulldozed objects reappearing, and more
- Numerous fixes for certain quests, including Eye of the Storm issues
