Bethesda Promises “Biggest Starfield Update Yet” with Over 100 Fixes and Improvements, including Better-Looking Faces

Bethesda Game Studios has announced that Starfield is about to get its “biggest update yet” as part of a new Steam Beta that will be headed to the platform on Wednesday, January 17. The full update notes won’t be posted until then, but according to a series of tweets and comparison images that Bethesda shared last week, players can expect some welcome improvements, including improved visuals and greater support for widescreen resolutions.

Features:

  • Improved textures, lighting, and shadows
  • Stability improvements
  • Additional widescreen support
  • Fixes for planet ring shadows, bulldozed objects reappearing, and more
  • Numerous fixes for certain quests, including Eye of the Storm issues
  • Update will feature over 100 fixes and improvements in total
