AMD will supposedly unveil its first next-generation Ryzen processors with not only Zen 5 cores, but also 3D V-Cache technology, at CES 2025. The rumor stems from Kepler, a reputable hardware leaker, who shared the claim this week in response to a thread about how AMD could be launching its first Zen 5 CPUs in just a few months. These will presumably fall under the Ryzen 9000 Series, with AMD having reserved the 8000 number for its latest APUs with Radeon graphics.

Ryzen “Zen 5” specs/rumors:

  • Ryzen 9000
  • AM5
  • same on-package chiplet design as Zen2/3/4
  • same IO-die as Zen4
  • same core count
  • TSMC N4 variant
  • double-digit IPC uplift
  • similar clks
  • DDR5-6400

AMD’s current X3D chips include:

  • Ryzen 9 7950X3D
  • Ryzen 9 7900X3D
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • Ryzen 7 5700X3D
  • Ryzen 5 5600X3D

BTW, this isn’t a “leak” or new information, it’s just a collection of what we know so far and the most common/likely leaks and rumors.
