TEAMGROUP Unveils a MagSafe External SSD for Smartphones

TEAMGROUP has announced the PD20M, a new magnetic external SSD that is designed for Apple iPhone 15 Pro and other popular, MagSafe-compatible smartphones with USB Type-C. Pricing appears to be TBA, but the PD20M is expected to be released in March, according to a press release that the company shared today.

It's kind of funny. I bought a drive similar to the round-ish one they show here, a Crucial with USB Type-C for our car a few months back and just the other day I was thinking a MagSafe version could be a nifty way to get around the card-less iPhone issue. It'd be really neat if they could thin to an almost credit card thickness, connector included, and still have ~2 TB capacity.
