Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Remake Has Been “Strongly Considered” by Sony: Report

A PlayStation remake of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Naughty Dog’s 2007 action-adventure game that introduced PS3 players to series protagonist Nathan Drake, is under consideration at Sony, various sources are reporting. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, a compilation that not only includes Drake’s Fortune, but also Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, has been available for PlayStation consoles since 2015.

XboxEra hosts noted:

  • “…I’d say remake…like ground up.”
  • “It is worth saying that the additional detail I got was that this was, this was quite old – like I am talking a number of years.”
  • “…what we’re looking at doesn’t necessarily indicate this is 100% happening…[but] this was definitely at the very least a strong consideration.”
  • “But it wouldn’t surprise me, right… as a way to bring the series back into the limelight again and get people hyped.”
