Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be getting an update in early March that brings a number of highly requested features to the action-adventure game that’s exclusive to PS5, developer Insomniac Games announced today. Those would include not only new outfits, but also a New Game+ mode that presumably allows players to revisit the game with all of their powers and gadgets at the beginning of the story, which sees Peter and Miles take on a newly imagined Venom and other classic foes.

Confirmation from Insomniac:

Additional features could include:

  • Audio descriptions
  • Ability to change time of day
  • Swap tendril colors
  • Replay missions

Insomniac’s original teaser from December:

We know players have been eagerly awaiting features such as New Game+ and Audio Descriptions, among many more. We have been working vigilantly on these features and require more testing to ensure the quality is up to our standards.

We are now targeting Early 2024 for the next game update, and we’ll have a feature-complete list closer to its release. We’ve heard your feedback and will be adding some highly requested features, including the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions — just to name a few!
