Eurocom has announced the availability of a new 780-watt AC/DC adapter that is said to bring an unprecedented level of mobile power to owners of high-performance laptops, including the Titan 18 HX, a premium gaming laptop from MSI that counts a Core i9-14900HX and GeForce RTX 4090 among its specifications but ships with what is apparently an insufficient 400-watt AC adapter. Features include a detachable DC cable, allowing it to be used with a range of laptops, as well as an LCD panel and 2x active fans for cooling.
Eurocom on the Titan 18 HX’s shortcoming:
The MSI Titan 18HX, a beastly gaming laptop, boasts impressive specifications, including the Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, and a whopping 128GB (32GB x 4) DDR5 RAM configuration. Additionally, it features 4TB (2TB x 2) NVMe SSD Gen4x4 for storage. However, the laptop’s Achilles’ heel lies in its underwhelming 400W AC adapter, which fails to provide the necessary power for this powerhouse of a machine.
