Pokémon Legends: Z-A Launches for “Nintendo Switch Systems” in 2025

Nintendo has shared its celebrations for Pokémon Day 2024, and with it comes the announcement of a brand-new Pokémon game that is currently in development for what the official Pokémon account has described as “Nintendo Switch systems.” Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as the new game is called, is expected to release worldwide in 2025—the same year that the Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to launch.

Nintendo on Pokémon Legends: Z-A:

A new challenge in the Pokémon series of video games, [Pokémon Legends: Z-A] will be released simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch in 2025. It will be a completely new adventure set entirely within “Lumiose City,” a city where re-development is in progress with the goal of being a place where humans and Pokémon can coexist.

Other announcements include a trio of special Tera Raid Battle events for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games:

  • A Mighty Venusaur
    • Event timing: Feb. 27 at 4:00 p.m. to March 5 at 3:59 p.m. PT
  • A Mighty Blastoise
    • Event timing: March 5 at 4:00 p.m. to March 12 at 4:59 p.m. PT
  • A Mighty Charizard
    • Event timing: March 12 at 5:00 p.m. to March 17 at 4:59 p.m. PT

Pokémon Day 2024 full festivities, including a new mobile trading card game:

You can easily collect Pokemon cards within the app, and enjoy an even more expanded Pokemon card collection experience , from past illustrations to completely new cards that only appear in this work. “Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket” is scheduled to be released as an iOS/Android app in 2024 .
