Linux has managed to cross another major milestone, according to new statistics from statcounter.com that show how the 32-year-old, open-source OS now enjoys a worldwide market share of over 4%—4.03%, based on February’s numbers, to be exact. Linux’s last milestone was in June 2023, when it passed 3% desktop market share.
