Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Alan Wake 2 Lead BAFTA Games Awards 2024 Nominations

BAFTA has published its full list of nominations for the BAFTA Games Awards 2024, revealing Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Alan Wake 2 to be this year’s biggest potential winners. Voting for BAFTA’s EE Players’ Choice Award, the only award voted for by the public, is now open at https://ee.co.uk/gaming/baftagames.

BAFTA Game Awards 2024 details:

  • Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, London
  • Streaming live around the world at 19.00 BST / 14.00 ET / 11.00 PT via BAFTA’s YouTube, Twitch, and X channels

Highlights:

  • 10 nominations for Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Nine nominations for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
  • Eight nominations for Alan Wake 2
  • Six nominations each for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Five nominations for Dave the Diver and Hi-Fi Rush
  • Four nominations each for Cocoon, Dredge, Final Fantasy XVI, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Viewfinder
  • Nominations in the Game Beyond Entertainment category: Chants of Sennaar, Goodbye Volcano High, Tchia, Terra Nil, Thirsty Suitors and Venba
  • Other games receiving nominations: Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Cassette Beasts, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Island 2, Diablo IV, Disney Illusion Island, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Football Manager 2024, Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport, Genshin Impact, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Call of the Mountain, Jusant, No Man’s Sky, Party Animals, Starfield, Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin

BAFTA noted:

11 out of the 12 nominees in the performance categories receive their first BAFTA nomination, including Sam Lake for Alan Wake 2; Amelia Tyler, Andrew Wincott, Neil Newbon, Samantha Béart (a 2023 BAFTA Breakthrough) and Tracey Wiles for Baldur’s Gate 3; Ralph Ineson for Final Fantasy XIV; Cameron Monaghan and Debra Wilson for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor; Tony Todd and Yuri Lowenthal for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
