Nikon to Acquire Red Digital Cinema, Maker of RED Cameras

Nikon, the Tokyo-based optics and photography giant, has announced that it will be acquiring all of Red Digital Cinema, the company behind some of today’s most popular digital film cameras. RED’s current lineup comprises the KOMODO and V-RAPTOR series, the latter of which supports shooting at up to 120 FPS at 8K, while Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, Warner Bros.’ The Flash, and Apple TV+’s Constellation mark some of the latest projects that were shot on RED.
